چکیده

Objectives. To find an effective way for obtaining triamyl citrate, environmentally friendly, biodegradable citric acid ester used as a plasticizer PVC-based polymer compositions. Methods. The possibilities of heterogeneous catalysis were analyzed using the case study three commercial samples macroporous sulfocationites (Amberlyst™ 15, Amberlyst™ 70, and TULSION® 66). Homogeneous was studied example orthophosphoric (H 3 PO 4 ), while self-catalysis investigated during esterification with amyl alcohol (ROH). syntheses carried out under identical conditions: T = 110 °C, ratio CA:ROH 1:5 (mol) amount catalyst 1 wt % on reaction mass in thermostatically controlled reactor ideal mixing continuous distillation resulting water. Results. It found that all variants (even conditions), conversion 180 min reached 94–99%. Triamyl citrate formed after 9 h yield 90% only when homogeneous (H3PO4) presence sample (Amberlyst ™ 15). Conclusions. revealed differences reactivity Amberlyst 66) confirm well-known theoretical positions, according to which kinetic pseudo-homogeneous model process hydroxy acids excess aliphatic alcohols is based law acting masses depends specific surface area catalyst, 15 greatest importance compared 70 66 (m 2 /g): 53:36:35, respectively.

Citrate synthesis by lymphocytes.

The important role of lymphocytes in humoral and cell-mediated immunity indicates that they need a readily available intracellular source of energy. Here, we demonstrate that these cells contain enzymes involved in citrate formation. The citrate is oxidized through the tricarboxylic acid cycle to furnish energy. A newly devised, simple radiometric method was used to determine the condensation o...

Citrate cleavage enzyme and fatty acid synthesis.

A series of experiments was performed to test the proposal of others that citrate cleavage enzyme (EC 4.1.3.8) regulates the rate of fatty acid synthesis in rat liver. The results show that, in recovery from fasting, fatty acid synthesis increased markedly without change in citrate cleavage enzyme activity. After the administration of alloxan, fatty acid synthesis decreased prior to any change ...

comparison of catalytic activity of heteropoly compounds in the synthesis of bis(indolyl)alkanes.

heteropoly acids (hpa) and their salts have advantages as catalysts which make them both economically and environmentally attractive, strong br?nsted acidity, exhibiting fast reversible multi-electron redox transformations under rather mild conditions, very high solubility in polar solvents, fairly high thermal stability in the solid states, and efficient oxidizing ability, so that they are imp...
